After 4 days of use this inverter easily does anything I need it to do, which is largely charging batteries when taking road trips. It handled my Dremel and 3/8 drill, as well. Didn’t try the grinder ?.

It’s well made with an all metal chassis, including front and rear faces – the only plastic is the black cover. It is substantial and heavy enough that it doesn’t look and feel cheap or breakable.

Overall, I like the unit and would recommend it.

My only strike against it is, IMO, a design flaw at Go Power. It is nuts to have the power connections on the back so close together. One of them should be located where the ground connector is. If one uses something more substantial than the #6 wire Go Power recommends and one should if the inverter is more than about 3 or 4ft from the battery. I am using #6 CABLE for a 9ft run. The plastic caps make it difficult to impossible to use lugs made for more substantial cable, but the proximity of one to the other makes it a safety concern to remove the caps. I had to file one lug more narrow to make it fit inside the plastic and left the other uncovered.

Ive used it for a year now on multiple road trips - it is a good product except for terminal locations

by:

Works as advertised. High quality unit. The fan as a little louder than I'd like, but not an issue. In fact it's very smooth running. I'm using it to power my TV and Blu-ray player in my camper when boon docking.

by:

Fast Service. Item arrived well packed and exactly as described.

by:

One year + later, this inverter is great! I have it connected to two battleborn lithium batteries. We can run our TV although we don’t much, our Microware, or our coffee Kirin machine - of course not all at once. The fan is a bit noisy but it only fires up when drawing heavy from the inverter. Love it and recommend it.

by:

Good advice to help decide which inverter is right for us. Really fast shipping and delivery.

by:

I am always amazed at how well the team and eTrailer service customers. The communication from product purchase to delivery is exceptional. Price/value of products is highly appreciated as well. I always save time and money when going to eTrailer to find parts for my Lance 2445 Trailer.

by:

Works great, the unit is powering a work shed in the backyard. The Inverter is paired up with 400w of solar and two battleborn 100a batteries. The unit replaced a 3000w inverter from another company that fried twice within a year.

by:

This product is reliable and works well to the stated 400 watts when the load is steady. I like that this unit works well with my 29.4V DC battery pack (7S). Past 250 watts, even small surges will trip the unit off. At around 250 watts(steady) my quart compressor cooler will kill AC power out when it kicks on. It appears that the 600 watt surge rating is inaccurate.

by:

I have this installed and the included remote does not work as described in the instructions. When not connected to shore power the remote shows the charger function on yet the instructions say this is not an option.

Also, I changed the power saver mode to 15 minutes from the default off. I didn’t see a change in the remote output after several hours.

Less than 10 days after I ordered this etrailer dropped the price $XXX.XX. That’s not insignificant and they wouldn’t do anything for me about it.

by:

I replaced my magnum that went out due to a wiring issue. It was easy to replace for the most part although the wire to the controll panel was 6 wire and the old one was 4. It works very well. All I lost was the self start of the old one. Very good product.

by:

Inverter failed around the one year mark with light use. 1 star for that but 3 stars overall because of GoPowers customer service who provided a replacement without trouble.

by:

Installed last year in a horse trailer with living quarters. Using with a pair of Dakota lithium batteries. Works great. Powers Microwave with ease. love the ability to pull from battery while also using generator; i can run both microwave and coffee maker together like this.

Points of note:
1) When inverter is turned on there is a quiet weird chirp occasionally. If you're a light sleeper sensitive to sounds, be prepared for a "what is that?" if it is installed in the LQ area.
2) If batteries are full and i plug in my Furman generator (Costco purchased from Costco), the generator gets tripped in to overload when float charging is enabled. Not an issue when charging batteries.

by:

Product works designed. It was professionally installed along with instant hot water and 4 vmax tanks.

by:

Perfect to charge phones, computers, and other electronic items with off grid. And use my CPAP.

by:

etrailer always does great!

by:

Great price and very fast shipping. Best place for all your trailer needs

by:

We are currently working on hooking up the inverter we ordered from etrailer for the maiden voyage in our new trailer. It appeared these items would not be arriving before we left, but after a quick phone call to etrailer and a conversation with Steve Z. in customer service our inverter was on it's way by 10:00 am that morning. It did indeed arrive in 2 days giving us time to hook this up. We were thrilled as we wanted to put this trailer to work off the grid. Great service. Thank you so much.

by:

I finally received my Go Power IC3000 after a nearly three-week delay. Unfortunately, I missed my window of opportunity to get it installed this year, so I am not able to complete a review of the product at this time. I can say, installation is going to be quite a challenge. The item is large and heavy. Finding a suitable location that meets all the requirements is going to be difficult. The batteries are located at the front of the trailer, while the AC lines are on the other side of the basement. Since the inverter cannot be located in the same area as the batteries, I'm not sure I am going to be able to reach everything and maintain the 10' maximum length requirement of the 0000 DC cable. We will see what happens next spring. I will post a follow-up review post-installation if possible.

by:

The inverter works very well. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the front of the unit is made with cheap plastic. The screws that hold the electric outlet in the front of the unit is embedded into the plastic. The plastic broke the first time I plugged into the outlet. I was leaving in two days to go on a trip to Utah so did not send it back. I voided the warranty by opening the unit, reinforced the outlet by sandwiching the plastic front in between two pieces of aluminum and used screws to hold the outlet in place. Since doing this, everything has worked flawlessly.

I would not buy this item again due to the plastic front.

by:

Everything went well. I’m very pleased with the service & Inverter.

by:

Ordered Monday night at 6:30 pm and it showed up Thursday at noon with the free shipping option. Can’t beat that! Now I get to install over the weekend instead of waiting until the original arrival date of Monday. Will give 4 stars for now until it’s installed and working. Hefty unit at 50 lbs. install in my 2015 Amped 28FS looks like it will be very straight forward. Thanks etrailer for the quick shipping. Now I can’t wait to do some serious boondocking especially when my solar is installed and I can minimize the generator running!

by:

Installed easily under a dinette seat for air circulation. Most important is the addition of a large 200 amp power switch/circuit breaker. Also installed remote panel for easy monitoring. This is a nice size for moderate usage of electronic equipment while on the road. Would recommend for its quality and very good instructions.

by:

This unit is well built and ready for 50 amp pass thru. Comes with built in 50amp circuit breakers and Romex clamps. Installed on our 2019 Grand Design Momentum and so far works great. Recommend the remote panel. Bob at GoPower was awesome with customer service and helped me set all parameters for lithium batteries. Sarah at etrailer was great and had shipped out an hour after I ordered to make my need date. I highly recommend GoPower and etrailer.

by:

I installed the GoPower 3000w inverter/charger in my fifth wheel trailer. I connected it with three 12v deep cycle flooded cell batteries and a sub panel to send 120v power to all outlets in the trailer. The automatic switch in the inverter has worked flawlessly. Perhaps the best part is the E-Trailer customer support. They answered my calls, actually speak English, and stayed with me until my questions were answered

by:

Great product I thought I was receiving the fuse kit that came with it and I need it I would like to have one

  • Replacement Option For 130 Watt Inverter
There was little info about that specific inverter I could find, other than it is a 130 watt inverter. The closest we have to that is a 200 watt pure sine wave inverter, the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter - 200 Watt - 12V # 34282690. This unit is 7-7/16" long x 5-15/16" wide x 2-11/16" tall, which should allow it to fit the same space as your current inverter.

  • What is Output Voltage of Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter GP-ISW200-12 and GP-ISW400-12
While the outlet colors and designs are slightly different between the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34282692 and # 34282690 the circuit protection is the same between the two. The output of these is 100/110/115/120VAC 50/60 hz. The part # 34282692 does have a GFCI style outlet whereas the # 34282690 does not according to our contacts at Go Power. Which matches what you see in the outlets of the pictures.

  • Recommended Power Inverter Needed for a 55 Inch TV
The exact wattage requirements for a TV will be dependent on that particular model. For example, not all 55" TV's will draw the same amount of power. For reference, the Furrion LED RV TV part # FEUS55F7A which is 55" draws around 60 watts but this will again vary by model. That said, I would not think power requirements would be greater than 200 watts therefore the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter part # 34282690 is what I recommend. • Recommended Power Inverter for Hideout 179RB Travel Trailer
Power Inverters are not specific to the camper but rated against the power demands and application of the user and what size battery bank they are connected to. I do recommend that you only consider a pure sine wave inverter as it is best for so many of todays sensitive electronics. For a battery bank of about 100 to 200 AH, I typically recommend the 1,500 Watt - 12V, Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter with GFCI, # 34279950. For a battery bank greater than 200 AH, I suggest stepping...

Given that, a 200 watt inverter like the Go Power # 34282690 for a 12V system would be sufficient. If you wanted some reserve power for other electronics, you might be interested in a 400W inverter like # 34282692. A wired remote is available as part # 34266886, a 25 foot cable is included.
